The library was created to honour the memory of Professor Rowland Benson, a founder member and a professor at the University of Manchester, Institute of Science and Technology.

It has over 2500 books, covering a wide range of Jewish topics.

The library is normally open on Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.
