Yeshurun Hebrew Congregation is situated just off Kingsway, one of the main highways (A34) through South Manchester into the city centre.  The local district is composed of the popular twin suburbs of Cheadle and Gatley, and Yeshurun is only a short walk from both Cheadle and Gatley Village shopping centres.  The local shops in Cheadle include a Kosher Butcher and Delicatessen.  Larger centres in Manchester, Stockport, Wilmslow and Altrincham are also readily accessible, as is the major Trafford Shopping Centre.

The area is ideally placed for work and leisure with excellent access to the M60 and M56 motorways, Cheadle and Stockport railway stations, and Manchester International Airport.  The local Jewish Nursery School is attached to the highly rated North Cheshire Jewish Primary School, which is just over a mile from the synagogue.  A daily school bus service takes older school children to and from the equally successful Jewish senior school, King David High.  A new Jewish sports facility for South Manchester is planned to open on the North Cheshire Jewish Primary School site in 2010.

With a low Council Tax Rate (Cheadle and Gatley is part of Stockport Metropolitan Borough), many good schools, sports and leisure facilities nearby, and a good variety of attractive housing, Cheadle and Gatley is an ideal location for all families
