Children Services

There are regular Shabbat morning services, catering for two age groups up to 12 years. These are taken by parents.  Enquiries, and volunteers for the parents' rota via the Shul office.

Youth Services

These minyanim take place on Chagim and every Shabbat morning, except when there is a barmitzvah or a batmitzvah.  The services are run by the youth under adult guidance, and provide an opportunity to become more familiar with synagogue services in a youth-friendly atmosphere.  Parental encouragement for their teenagers to participate in the minyanim helps them to feel comfortable and familiar with services later in their adult life.

Yesh Youth Council

This was formed in September 2004 for children of secondary school age.. The Council organises social youth events such as "Purim Pandemonium" and a "Movie & Smoothie" evening, on a regular basis. The Council has its own room, which has been newly painted and is fully furnished.

Bnei Akiva

Every Shabbat, this youth group for 6-17 years ages meets at Shul. Play games, fill up your Saturday afternoon, and meet up with your own age group across the UK.  Contact leaders via the Shul office for more details

FZY and Habonim

Many young Yeshurun members join these groups which serve the South Manchester Jewish community as a whole.

South Manchester Maccabi

There are many opportunities for South Manchester Jewish youth to participate in football and other sports. An exciting development for Spring 2010 is Stockport Council's building of a major sports facility for Maccabi use in the grounds of North Cheshire Jewish Primary School, just five minutes drive from Yeshurun.
