Youth Activities

Yeshurun is a modern active Orthodox Synagogue which offers a varying programme of social, educational and religious activities for the youth of the Cheadle  Gatley Jewish Community. To participate, please contact the Shul office
.

Yeshurun arranges regular events for the children and young people of the Community, particularly during Chagim such as Purim, Chanukah, Succot and Simchat Torah. Large celebratory events are held with activities for each age group.

During Covid times, many weekday activities were being run on Zoom. With the relaxation of restrictions, we are now holding more of these events within Shul and the wider Community.

Post Bar/Bat Mitzvah activities

These activities offer relaxed learning for post-Bar/Batmitzvah teenagers. For further information contact Rabbi Greg or Rebbetzen Hannah

Youth Kumzitz/Chill

A weekly session to stay in touch and cover topical subjects, with entertainment provided.

Youth Services

These minyanim take place on Chagim (Festivals) and some Shabbat mornings. The services are run by the youth under adult guidance, and provide an opportunity to become more familiar with Shul services in a youth-friendly atmosphere. Parental encouragement for their teenagers to participate in the minyanim helps them to feel comfortable and familiar with services later in their adult life. Rabbi Greg and Rebbetzen Hannah participate in the planning and in the actual services whenever possible.
